Wild Pokémon in Pokémon Orange can carry 70 different items. A Pokémon’s common held-item slot is 50%, its rare slot is 5%, and a Pokémon whose common and rare slots contain the same item has a combined 55% chance; some species hold a specific item 100% of the time. Use Frisk to identify a wild Pokémon’s held item, then use Thief or Covet to take it. The table includes dependable targets as well as low-odds finds. Growlithe, Ninetales, Smoochum, and Vulpix always hold an Aspear Berry; Snorlax always holds Leftovers; Lapras and Suicune always hold Mystic Water; Entei always holds Charcoal; Raikou always holds Magnet; Mewtwo always holds a Petaya Berry; Ho-Oh always holds Sacred Ash; Shuckle always holds Berry Juice; and Victreebel always holds Big Root. Other guaranteed holders include Articuno, Celebi, Lugia, Mew, Moltres, Ursaluna, and Zapdos with Lum Berries. For rarer item hunting, Dragon Scale is a 5% find on Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Horsea, Seadra, and Kingdra; Lucky Egg is 5% on Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey; and Light Ball is 5% on Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu. Which wild Pokémon carry which items, and how often.

Wild Pokémon can hold items. Common items have a 50% chance to be held, rare items have a 5% chance, and some Pokémon always hold specific items. If the same item appears in both slots, it has a 55% chance (50% + 5%). Use a Pokémon with the Frisk ability to detect held items, or use the move Thief or Covet to steal them.
