Gym Leaders
Pokémon Red++ Normal-ROM Gym Leaders, with verified locations, battle conditions, teams, levels, and moves. Brock is in Pewter City: Geodude Lv. 12 (Tackle, Defense Curl) and Onix Lv. 14 (Tackle, Bind, Harden, Rock Tomb). The interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_BROCK before the leader battle, then sets it on victory and attempts to give a TM; the inspected source is internally inconsistent (GiveItem TM_36 versus TM34 event/text labels), so the reward number is unresolved. Misty is in Cerulean City: Staryu Lv. 18 (Tackle, Harden, Recover, Water Pulse) and Starmie Lv. 21 (Tackle, Swift, Recover, Water Pulse); the battle checks EVENT_BEAT_MISTY, then sets it and gives TM_11. Lt. Surge is in Vermilion City: Voltorb Lv. 21 (Thunderbolt, Tackle, Screech, SonicBoom), Pikachu Lv. 18 (Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Quick Attack, Double Team), and Raichu Lv. 24 (Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Quick Attack, Double Team). His gate opens after EVENT_2ND_LOCK_OPENED; victory sets EVENT_BEAT_LT_SURGE and gives TM_24. Erika is in Celadon City: Victreebel Lv. 29 (Stun Spore, Acid, PoisonPowder, Giga Drain), Tangela Lv. 24 (PoisonPowder, Constrict, Vine Whip, Giga Drain), and Bellossom Lv. 29 (Sleep Powder, SolarBeam, Giga Drain, Petal Dance); the interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_ERIKA, then victory sets it and gives TM_21. Koga is in Fuchsia City: Venomoth Lv. 37 (Confusion, Gust, Supersonic, Toxic), Muk Lv. 39 (Minimize, Sludge, Acid Armor, Toxic), Crobat Lv. 37 (Double Team, Quick Attack, Wing Attack, Poison Fang), and Weezing Lv. 43 (Tackle, Sludge, Smokescreen, Toxic); the interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_KOGA, then victory sets it and gives TM_06. Sabrina is in Saffron City: Kadabra Lv. 38 (Disable, Psybeam, Recover, Psychic), Mr. Mime Lv. 37 (Confusion, Barrier, Light Screen, DoubleSlap), Espeon Lv. 38 (Sand-Attack, Quick Attack, Swift, Psychic), and Alakazam Lv. 43 (Shadow Ball, Recover, Psywave, Reflect); the interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_SABRINA, then victory sets it and gives TM_46. Blaine is on Cinnabar Island: Growlithe Lv. 42 (Bite, Roar, Take Down, Fire Blast), Ponyta Lv. 40 (Stomp, Agility, Fire Spin, Fire Blast), Rapidash Lv. 42 (Stomp, Agility, Fire Spin, Fire Blast), Arcanine Lv. 45 (Bite, Roar, ExtremeSpeed, Fire Blast), and Magmar Lv. 47 (Fire Punch, Confuse Ray, Fire Blast, Smog); the Gym has a gate-unlock flow tied to trainer-event flags, then the leader interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_BLAINE and victory gives TM_38. Giovanni is in Viridian City: Rhydon Lv. 45 (Take Down, Rock Blast, Leer, Earthquake), Steelix Lv. 42 (Iron Tail, Rock Blast, Rage, Iron Defense), Nidoqueen Lv. 44 (Double Kick, Earthquake, Poison Sting, Body Slam), Nidoking Lv. 45 (Double Kick, Earthquake, Poison Sting, Thrash), and Rhyperior Lv. 50 (Take Down, AncientPower, Rock Blast, Earthquake). The battle is marked SPECIAL_TRAINER2 with AI_HYPER_POTION; the map includes forced arrow-tile movement, the interaction checks EVENT_BEAT_VIRIDIAN_GYM_GIOVANNI, and victory gives TM_27. Literal move coverage includes Rock Tomb on Brock’s Onix; Recover and Water Pulse across Misty’s team; Thunderbolt on all of Lt. Surge’s Pokémon; status moves and Giga Drain across Erika’s team; Toxic on Koga’s Venomoth, Muk, and Weezing; Psychic on Sabrina’s Kadabra and Espeon; Fire Blast on all of Blaine’s Pokémon; and Earthquake on four of Giovanni’s five Pokémon. The verified source sections state no requested/offered-Pokémon mechanic and no effective-counter recommendations for these leaders, so neither is added here. This is the Normal ROM fact set; do not apply it to the separate Hard build. The Viridian introductory label says Unknown, but the battle event and party data identify Giovanni.
