Gyaradosin Pokémon Polished Crystal
Pokédex Entry
Atrocious Pokémon
It appears whenever there is world conflict, burning down any place it travels through. Gyarados in classic Crystal was always remembered as the always-achievable shiny Red Gyarados. In Polished Crystal, you still get a Red Gyarados as part of the plot but it is NOT shiny (nor can the Red Gyarados be shiny). Instead, shiny Gyarados is more a nod to the golden Magikarp that is commonly known. Anyways, you can lead with Dragon Dance and it starts sweeping away with its Attack stat. Intimidate softens any physical hits while Moxie will boost its own as it knocks out opponents. Waterfall & Earthquake are best attacking moves.
Gyarados in Pokémon Polished Crystal
Gyarados is #130 in the Pokédex for Pokémon Polished Crystal. This page covers its water/flying typing, base stats, abilities, level-up and TM/HM moves, evolution chain, and where to find it across 12 encounter locations.
Lowers the foe's Attack stat.
Boosts Attack when knocking out foes.
Moves disregard the foe's ability.
Evolution Chain
Note, you can always call Professor Elm with the Pokemon you are trying to evolve as first in your party. This was a feature that was added specifically to Polished Crystal. If the information on this page seems incorrect, please try calling Professor Elm.
