Gyarados

waterflying

It appears whenever there is world conflict, burning down any place it travels through.

Gyarados in classic Crystal was always remembered as the always-achievable shiny Red Gyarados. In Polished Crystal, you still get a Red Gyarados as part of the plot but it is NOT shiny (nor can the Red Gyarados be shiny). Instead, shiny Gyarados is more a nod to the golden Magikarp that is commonly known. Anyways, you can lead with Dragon Dance and it starts sweeping away with its Attack stat. Intimidate softens any physical hits while Moxie will boost its own as it knocks out opponents. Waterfall & Earthquake are best attacking moves.
