Pickup Ability and Item Table

Introduction

The Pickup ability is one of those things that's easy to forget about but can be surprisingly useful. Certain Pokémon will occasionally find items after battles, and what they find depends on their level - higher-level Pokémon get access to rarer stuff.

I put together this table so you can see exactly what's available at each level range. If you're trying to farm specific items, this should help you figure out whether it's worth leveling up your Pickup Pokémon or if you're already in the right range.

How Pickup Works

• After each battle, Pokémon with Pickup have a 10% chance to find an item
• What they find depends on their level
• They can't already be holding something (make sure to empty their held item slot)
• Works in both wild and trainer battles
• Can also steal items the opponent consumed during battle (like berries) - similar to how it works in Gen V and later

After each battle, Pokémon with Pickup have a 10% chance to find an item. 98% of the time it uses the base table, 2% of the time it uses the rare table. The item depends on the Pokémon level.
