Trade Benefits

Many of these trades offer excellent value:

  • Chansey trade on Route 14 comes with a Lucky Egg
  • Kangaskhan and Mr. Mime are exclusive to trades
  • All traded Pokémon have beneficial natures for competitive use
  • Hidden Abilities make these Pokémon immediately viable

Tips

  1. Don't skip the Odd Egg - It's a guaranteed Shiny with Hidden Ability!
  2. Answer correctly at Dragon's Den to get Dratini with Extreme Speed
  3. Save before trades if you want to soft-reset for specific IVs (though 14 minimum is guaranteed)
  4. Many post-game gifts require Kanto Gym progress - plan accordingly
  5. The Lucky Egg from the Chansey trade is invaluable for training
