Early Bird

Early Bird is an ability in Polished Crystal that allows the user to wake up from sleep status condition twice as fast as normal. This means that instead of sleeping for 2-3 turns, the Pokémon will only sleep for 1-2 turns, which is a significant advantage against Pokémon with moves that are based on draining HP while sleeping or trying to utilze moves where the user cannot go.

This ability was added to Pokémon who mostly appear in the morning such as Leydba and Sunkern! However, this is not always true as the Houndour line has this ability as well, which are found at night.
