Hard Stone will give a 20% power boost to Rock-type moves! It's a straightforward type boosting item without drawbacks, just consistent extra damage!

This is a decent option for Rock-type attackers that don't want the restrictions of Choice items or the HP drain of Life Orb. Rock-types often have lower accuracy moves, so the reliable boost can be nice. That said, I'm p sure most competitive players prefer items with bigger upside.
