Protect Pads

Protects from contact effects. (Hold)

Protective Pads prevent your Pokémon from being affected by contact-based abilities and items when using contact moves. Things like Static, Flame Body, Effect Spore, and Rocky Helmet won't trigger against you.

This is a niche item but it has its uses. If you're running a physical attacker that relies heavily on contact moves and keeps getting burned or paralyzed, Protective Pads let you hit freely without worrying about those annoying chip effects! It removes a layer of risk.
