Stench is an ability that gives moves a 10% chance to make the target flinch. This means that when a Pokémon with Stench uses a move even if it does not cause flinching, there is a 10% chance that the opponent will flinch anyways.
Stench is often found on Poison-type Pokémon, and it adds an extra layer of strategy to their offensive capabilities.
If your lead Pokémon has Stench as its ability, the encounter rate for wild Pokémon is cut in half!
