Battle Facilities & Postgame

Soulgold's Battle Factory and postgame facilities: when they open, what they sell, and why this page shows no per-set team table yet.
Last updated: September 28, 2026

Soulgold has battle facilities in both the main game and the postgame, and they are the main source of several systems that have no other home. It does not currently have an extracted set list, so this page explains the facilities and is honest about the one thing it cannot yet show.

Why there is no team table here

PolishedDex generates the Battle Tower guide from a per-game dataset, and no such dataset exists for Soulgold yet. Rather than render another game's tower sets under a Soulgold heading, this page is prose until the extraction catches up. If you came here looking for a searchable list of opponent sets, that is the honest answer: it is not available, and not published as if it were.

The Battle Factory

The facility that matters most in Soulgold is the Battle Factory, which opens after your third badge. It is your main access point for three systems:

  • Ability changes. The Factory offers them in exchange for a few rounds, and a handful also appear in the overworld. This matters more here than in most hacks, because ability slots are the largest single class of change Soulgold makes to a species -- 280 of them.
  • IV feathers. Playing nets feathers that permanently raise an IV by 5 each, and they are also available by fishing. Hyper Training in Rinto Village then covers anything the feathers miss, using Bottle Caps you can fish up with the Super Rod.
  • Money items. After eight badges the Factory starts stocking Nuggets and Big Nuggets, which is a faster income route than selling shards.

It is also where the Beckoning Bell comes from, the item that lets you reroll a Hidden Grotto instead of waiting for the daily reset.

Main-game and postgame facilities

The hack ships battle facilities in both halves of the game, using Pokémon from every generation. Reachable play areas and their rules are documented by the hack itself; PolishedDex will list them per facility once the set data exists.

The Rocket Arcade is the postgame money facility: it pays out money rather than BP, which makes it the natural companion to the Factory's item stock.

The Raichu note

One facility detail from the hack's own update notes, because it is easy to miss: Rock Climb requires your eighth badge despite being a field move you might expect to unlock earlier. Plan your back-tracking accordingly.

What to do instead, today

  • Check the Trainer Battles page for the boss fights the data does cover.
  • Use the Team Builder to plan a facility team with the EVs and IVs these facilities let you fix.
  • Use the Moveset Finder on any Pokémon you are bringing in, since facility runs punish missing coverage more than the main game does.
