Modern Emerald In-Game Trades: Every Trade and What You Get
Modern Emerald has 4 in-game NPC trades, and every one of them arrives with perfect 31 IVs across the board — far better than the vanilla trades, which handed over average Pokémon with the wrong natures.
| You give | You receive | Nickname | Where | Held item |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Ralts | Seedot | Dots | Rustboro City House 1 | Chesto Berry |
Volbeat | Plusle | Pluses | Fortree City House 1 | Wood Mail |
Bagon | Horsea | Seasor | Pacifidlog Town House 3 | Wave Mail |
Skitty | Meowth | Meowow | Battle Frontier Lounge 6 | Retro Mail |
Trade evolutions
Unlike some Emerald hacks, Modern Emerald keeps trade evolutions. Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, Haunter and every item-based trade evolution still work exactly as they did in 2005.
What the hack adds is a Self-Trader in Lilycove, so you can perform any trade evolution alone with one cart. Details of every trade evolution and what each one needs are in the evolution guide.
Wonder Trade instead
If you want Pokémon rather than items, Wonder Trade is in the basement of every Pokémon Center and unlocks after your fifth badge, three a day. Randomizer runs get it from the start; challenge runs only after the credits.
Trade data read from the extracted game data (npc_trades.json).
