Modern Emerald Daily Events: Every Once-a-Day Gift and NPC
Modern Emerald keeps Emerald's daily gift NPCs and adds a few of its own. There are 10 events that reset every day, and they are worth ten minutes at the start of a session because most of them hand out a free item.

The two to remember
The Berry Master on Route 123 gives a random item or a Growth Mulch, and Growth Mulch is the interesting one: it makes berries grow instantly, so if you are farming berries for healing or for a specific contest stat, this is the route to it.
The Lottery Clerk in Lilycove Department Store 1F hands out a random item daily and is the second-most useful stop in Lilycove after the training NPCs.
Berry trees behave differently here too
Berry trees do not decay, trees on rainy routes do not need watering, and yields are higher than vanilla — six berries at maximum, four at minimum. Combined with Growth Mulch from the Berry Master, berry farming in this hack is close to free.
