Rival Battles

The rival is fought 7 times across a run: level 5 in Cherrygrove City, then Azalea Town (15-18), the Burned Tower (22-24), Goldenrod's Underground (38-40), Victory Road in Kanto (45-48), Mt. Moon Cave (64), and finally the Indigo Plateau Pokémon Center (68). Choose your starter below — Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile each bring the same seven encounters with different teams.
