40 trainers can be rebattled in Heart & Soul, and their teams progress with every win rather than staying put: Joey's team runs level 4 on the first match, 27 on the second, then 30, 40 and 65 by the fifth. The display below shows each trainer, how the rematch is triggered, and every version of their team.
