Ghost Grey Champion Battles: Grey, Terry, Jonny Bones and Junebug
Ghost Grey's endgame comes in two parts: the Pokémon League Champion, and the two hardest fights in the game, at the Heart of the World. Every team below is stored in the ROM's own trainer table.
The Setup
The endgame pair are classed "This is it…" in the ROM and sit at the Heart of the World, at Lv 95 to 99. Their lead changes with your starter:
- If you picked the Water-type starter: JONNY BONES leads with Lichtoise (Lv99), JUNEBUG leads with Lichtoise (Lv99)
- If you picked the Fire-type starter: JONNY BONES leads with Chandelure (Lv99), JUNEBUG leads with Chandelure (Lv99)
- If you picked the Grass-type starter: JONNY BONES leads with Decidueye (Lv99), JUNEBUG leads with Decidueye (Lv99)
The other five Pokémon on each team are identical across all three starter paths.
The League Champion: Grey
Champion | Pokémon League | Lv 69-75
Grey is the champion a full playthrough meets, and his team has three starter-matched variants: the last slot is your own starter's final form. Everything else is identical across all three.
Water Starter Path
- Lichtoise (Lv75) @ Chocosongi -- Hone Claws, Aqua Tail, Earthquake, Night Slash
Fire Starter Path
- Chandelure (Lv75) @ Chocosongi -- Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Will-O-Wisp
Grass Starter Path
- Decidueye (Lv75) @ Chocosongi -- Leaf Blade, Sleep Powder, Drill Peck, Leech Seed
The five that never change
- Gengar (Lv70) -- Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt, Jumpscare
- Jiangshao (Lv69) -- Close Combat, U-turn, Night Slash, Fire Punch
- Suicune (Lv72) -- Calm Mind, Rest, Surf, Ice Beam
- Draconite (Lv71) -- Crunch, Outrage, Shadow Claw, Thunder Wave
- Aegislash (Lv71) -- Protect, Shadow Ball, Iron Head, Swords Dance
The second Champion-classed fight: TERRY
Champion | Pokémon League | Lv 72-75
The ROM stores a second Champion-classed trainer, TERRY, also at the Pokémon League and also in three starter-matched variants. A full playthrough meets Grey and never meets Terry; we have not established what triggers him, so treat him as an unresolved branch rather than a fight you missed. His team is stored without custom movesets, so the game fills them from each species' level-up learnset.
- Bakemon (Lv72), Spinarak (Lv73), Ghost (Lv72), Honedge (Lv73) -- all three variants
- Water variant: Exeggutor (Lv73), Lichtoise (Lv75)
- Fire variant: Typhlosion (Lv73), Decidueye (Lv75)
- Grass variant: Exeggutor (Lv73), Typhlosion (Lv73), Chandelure (Lv75)

MAX VOLTAGE
Leader | Lv 37-45 (later variant)
Max Voltage is a gym leader, not a champion -- he holds two badges and is covered with every other leader on the gym leaders page. This is his later, higher-levelled team, which is the one worth planning for:
- Cursola (Lv37) @ Blood Bag -- Protect, Aurora Beam, Spike Cannon, Spikes
- Electrauma (Lv38) -- Agility, Twister, Brine, Dragon Breath
- Gorochu (Lv38) -- Psybeam, Reflect, Skill Swap, Recover

- Hexray (Lv45) -- Shadow Claw, Thunder Wave, Crunch, Discharge
About Movesets
Most Pokémon in these battles show their full custom movesets above. When a Pokémon has no listed moves, it means the trainer didn't assign custom moves -- the game fills movesets from the Pokémon's level-up learnset at battle time. That's how the ROM's trainer engine works, not missing data.
