Emerald Legacy Evolution Items: All 13 Items, What They Evolve and Where to Get Them
Since Emerald Legacy removed trade evolutions entirely, the evolution items did all the work that trading used to: 13 items now evolve 30 species between them, and every one of the old "trade with an item" families -- Onix, Scyther, Poliwhirl, Slowpoke, Seadra, Porygon, Clamperl -- needs only the item now, held and levelled, with no second console involved.
Which means the real question is where the items are. Here's the whole list.

What to know before you go shopping
- Only some are purchasable. The Deep Sea items and the Sun and Moon Stones have shop entries ($9,800 each, Mossdeep Space Center and Slateport Harbor). King's Rock and Metal Coat are Battle Frontier exchange items at 64 BP each -- bring Battle Points.
- Dragon Scale comes from a gym rematch. It's the Juan rematch reward, which means it's post-game unless you've already beaten the League.
- Fire Stone and Leaf Stone are item balls in Fiery Path and on Route 119 respectively -- easy to walk past.
- The four "choice" evolutions are all live here. Slowpoke takes either King's Rock or a level-37 evolution, Poliwhirl takes King's Rock or a Water Stone, Eevee takes three different stones, and Clamperl's Deep Sea Tooth or Scale picks Huntail or Gorebyss.
- These items are also wild held items on some species, which is often a faster route than the shop -- see wild held items.
Where this page stops
The data records where each item sits, not how many you can buy or whether a gift is repeatable. Gifts tied to gym rematch rewards are one-per-rematch-variant in practice, and the BP exchange is replayable as long as you keep winning.
Where these numbers come from: Emerald Legacy's extracted evolution chain data for every item-based evolution, matched against each item's own location entries. Full method list on the evolution guide.
